The petals on this squashed Dandylion do look like a lion's mane.
7th April
I found this in a front garden boarder near our home. I have never seen anything like it before. It looks like it originates from somewhere ht.
6th April
I found this leaf. It looks like dyed leather. A lot of interesting leaves are still in our garden, left over from autumn.
5th April
The grass is beginning to grow faster now. This Lawn on the grounds around the University of Greenwich had been freshly mowed. Cut grass is perhaps my favourite smell. Such a fresh, clean scent. It makes me think of happy summers outside in the sun.
4th April
Magnolia, Blossom and blue skies. Spring time at it's most glorious.

I bought some Pansies to decorate a Moroccan cake. I really like the chipped paint of the windowsil, which is the backdrop of this photo.
30th March
This is a fantastic spring bulb display that I found in a front garden on my way back from work. Blue Hyasinths are my favourite because the flowers of one bulb blend from blue to indigo and violet.
29th March
Blossom with blue sky in the background. A perfect Spring image.
28th March
I've photographed Barberry a lot over the years. It's Orange flowers are so vibrant adding to the optimistic feelings of spring.
27th March
I like the way the gardener has put a smaller verity of Dafodil in the large terracotta pot and a larger verity in the lower pot.

This moss looks like it has been eaten by snails. What an interesting pattern they have made on the wooden fence!
25th March
It turns out there are many quince shrubs and the flowers are different colours.
24th March
Yippee, Magnolia trees are blooming. This is Magnolia Stellata.
23rd March
This flower is almost fluorescent due to the yellow centre and violet petals which are complementary colours. This makes me think of a museum in Amsterdam called Electric Ladyland where they exhibit all things dayglo. An incredible place if you are interested in the history of pigment.
22nd March
This looks like it's from the same family as the buttercup. It makes me want to find lots of buttercups to photograph, draw and press.
21st March
My Amaryllis grew another shoot and flowered again. I pleased with this abstract photograph.
20th March
I love the way Helibors are so photogenic. This one has given me an awesome silluette on a sponged blue skied background.
