This looks like I've added a filter but these were the colours of the leaves. I do love a filters though so perhaps I shall experiment with this image in photoshop, instagram, hipstamatic and Prisma.

I had no idea what this pink funky thang was but discovered it is an Aechmea Fasciata. Pretty impressive!

The patterns on the bark of a tree are often incredible and worth looking out for. This one I found on a tree at the Barbican Conservatory.

The first daffodil of the year is an extremely exciting time. This day was cold and wet. Winter had been taking it's toll. We were all aching for some sunshine. I welcomed this sign of spring with opened arms.

Ivy is such a beautiful plant. Being evergreen, it looks great all year round. I found an unforgettable piece of ivy appliqué on an evening gown at the Fashion Textiles Museum, Bermondsey. I also have a wonderful illustration of ivy on my favourite perfume bottle.
